41% of Canadian Organizations Report Cyber Awareness Challenges Despite Increased Training Budgets

Informatica Education announces new WorkLifeLearning.ca portal to alleviate Canadian shortage of cyber talent and resources

Toronto, Canada, September 25, 2024 – While the vast majority of cyber losses are due to cybercrime and social engineering, such as phishing-related breaches, more than 1/3 of security incidents are due to employee mistakes and lack of staff training. Additionally, 27% of Canadian employees report a lack of confidence in the training provided by their firm, complaining about effectiveness, adequacy and engagement challenges.

In response to this growing challenge, Informatica Education is pleased to announce the launch of its Managed Cyber Awareness program, accessible through WorkLifeLearning.ca. This service is designed to support organizations by fully managing their cybersecurity awareness programs, ensuring employees are equipped to prevent and respond to cyber threats and offload the planning and strategy related to awareness campaigns onto certified professionals with decades of corporate training experience.

“Cybersecurity is not just a technology issue; it’s a people issue. With over a third of security breaches caused by human error, our Managed Cyber Awareness Program provides businesses with an easy-to-implement, fully managed solution that ensures employees are trained, aware, and certified in cybersecurity best practices,” said Claudiu Popa, CEO of Informatica Corporation. “By partnering with us, organizations can focus on what they do best while we handle their cyber awareness training needs.”
